Until The Ink Runs Out

For the 2018 limited vinyl reissue of Eighteen Visions’ 2000 album Until the Ink Runs Out, I returned to the physical painting used for the original release. As a member of the band, I recorded the album and designed this reissue.

I re-photographed the painting from multiple angles, then built a new layout that amplifies its color, texture, and vibrancy.

The visual density reflects the record’s many musical textures and styles: large, clean, classic typography set against the paintings’ chaotic, tactile, and unpredictable surfaces.
